Professor Frank Geels, co-Director of the Centre on Innovation and Energy Demand and Professor of System Innovation and Sustainability at the University of Manchester, has been invited to join the Scientific Committee of the European Environment Agency (EEA). He was selected as one of five new members from 190 applications.
The EEA is an European Union agency that helps the EU and its member countries make informed decisions about improving the environment by providing timely, relevant and comparable European, pan-European and regional environmental data and indicator sets, thematic analyses and integrated assessments. The Scientific Committee has 18 members and meets two or three times a year.
